I don't know what happened but I suppose at one moment I wasn't paying attention, my CS3 connected to the internet and.. well you can guess. Tried uninstalling and installing several times but they hid something deep in my system! Very deep since I tore everything related and unrelated out of my install without any luck. It's looking for a complete new activation code. Anyone have any idea where that little pesky updated file is that, once removed, will enable me to reinstall?

I'm sure this will happen to many people out there in the near future, be ready and shut yourself from the net...

It happened once to a friend of mine. It was solved running the installer again with the uninstall option (make sure that your preferences are being deleted). After that, I did a search for "adobe" on the system hard drive. I deleted every single folder called Adobe (there are plenity of these left behind after the uninstall process). Also, make sure you delete all the com.adobe.XXX.plist files (more preferences files) and a couple of folders called flexnet-something (do a search for "flex"). These are the ones that holds the registration information (I think so). After that restart and you should be able to reinstall the entire suite with no probs.

Regards.
