zman7326
Alright I am currently running Mac OS X 10.4.8 JaS on my system I've built. I was wondering what is the best way to upgrade it to 10.4.9. ? Most of the upgrades I've tried for 10.4.9 do not work right. After the upgrade all the system does is keep restarting, then I have to reinstall Mac OS X 10.4.8 JaS. Or should I try a different Mac OS X 10.4.8 or another version? My system specs: Intel Celeron D Processor 3.33GHz (socket 775) ECS P4M890T-M2 (V1.0B) socket 775 Motherboard Western Digital 40GB Hard drive Western Digital 80GB Hard drive 1 GB of DDR 333 Ram PNY Nvidia Geforce 7300 GT (Pci-e card) Creative USB Interface XMOD Soundcard D-Link DFE-528TX Wired (Ethernet) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/61791-mac-os-x-1048-jas-upgrade-to-1049/ Share on other sites

dixit
Have you looked in -v mode to see whats causing it? Is it a specific kext causing it or maybe the upgraded kernel? Most of these upgrades backup the kernel and you can apply back your original one. If its a kext you can move it out temporarily to see if that fixes it.
