Hi, was thinking of buying the new C2D mac mini, as I want a portable computer as well and mac mini is the lightest mac available. But the external PSU seems quite big, I noticed the mini itself weights 1.31 kg, but is there anyone who knows what the PSU weights?

I have another question as well, I have been workin a lot on a macbook and under heavy load the fan is ramping up, I've adjusted it with software to make it quieter but it's still somewhat noisy under heavy load. It seems that the mac mini allows for a better air intake and throughput of air so it should be quieter, so my question is, is it possible to work with the mini under full load without having the fan ramping up?

I can't seem to find my Mac Mini's power supply in the rat's nest of cables I have back there (it's my HTMac, so I have the cables from the mini, Wii, PS2, TV, speakers, cable box, etc all in a big mess together), but I don't remember it being very heavy. It's heavier than a MacBook power supply, but not more than twice as heavy. I'd say it's definitely less than a pound, which still puts the mini at the lightest Mac by far (but it doesn't have a monitor or keyboard).

ok, thanx for your feedback, think I will order a mini pretty soon, although, I cannot decide if it's worth waiting to get Leopard included. The mini would be mostly used for music production and maybe on stage as well (with a tiny monitor or something like the iphone over vnc ;)), is it possible that some software that I've used in Tiger does not work in Leopard? Pretty much I don't care if it's Tiger or Leopard, I just want the lightest and fastest, do you think Leopard will be faster as it's developed for intel macs?
