Anyone tried networking 2 macbook pro's running XP via bootcamp?

I have 2 macbook pro's with bootcamp and 1 PC dual boot 10.4.9 and XP.

Networking the machines with static IPs works between either MBP and the PC. Or to each other, provided one (or both) is booted to OSX. Network is also working fine between either MBP and the PC, both running XP.

But no matter what I try, if both MBPs and booted to XP, they will connect fine, but can't ping each other.

This behaviour is consistant over LAN and Wireless networks.

All configurations are using static IPs (192.168.0.x)

I used a 2005 MCE install disk for bootcamp installations.

I'm sorry if this has been discussed anywhere on this forum, but I couldn't find anything doing a search.

Maybe I am confused but what is your question? XP has the firewall turned on, which means usually you will not get a ping response.
