Can't update to 10.4.10 on VMware

Hi,

 

I downloaded the pascalW's 10.4.10 Delta updater to update my JaS 10.4.8 installation. Here is the ReadMe of the files:

MacOSXUpd10.4.10AMD.mpkg.zip - Update package for AMD

MacOSXUpd10.4.10Intel.mpkg.zip - Update package for INTEL

Both packages comes with 8.10.1 kernel + decrypter.

Manual install requirements:

mach_amd - 8.10.1 xnu kernel (amd/intel/sse3/noNX/hpet/autofsb)

mach_intel - 8.10.1 xnu kernel (intel/sse3/noNX/hpet/autofsb)

dsmos.kext - binary decrypter

 

Don't forget to backup your extensions!!!!

Anyway, I ran the MacOSXUpd10.4.10Intel.mkpg file (I have an intel processor). The installation completed successfully and the VM rebooted. However immediately after entering the gray apple screen, I got a ***Virtual machine kernel stack fault (hardware reset)*** error. So I could't enter OS X. Luckily, I had a snapshot of the VM so I reverted back to a state before installing the update. So, am I doing anything wrong? I have the feeling I might have to run some Terminal commands before installation. Can I follow the instructions in this post?
