JSn1™
I read this topic ( http://macgeek.freeflux.net/blog/archive/2...m-pendrive.html ) it says that you can install Mac OS X to a USB Drive. It's cool. I would like to know if it's possible to Install and Boot from the iPod. Thanks!!! soupcancooloff
First of all you need to set the iPod to allow disk usage, so that it shows up as an external harddrive. There are hidden directories on the ipod that store your music database. Since you need a free partition to install OSX, you need to partition your iPod. If you can do that then I think it might work. O and you also need to make sure that your BIOS on your motherboard can boot off of a USB drive. Hopefully your "partitioned" iPod will show up as one, it could work. In short -> partition your iPod. JSn1™
OK, I will start the partition process, I will leave 5 GB for Mac OS X. Should I leave the 5GB at first, or al last? soupcancooloff
Should I leave the 5GB at first, or al last? I don't know what you mean by that. You should leave at least 6GB for any tiger OS. Even with 6GB, you won't be able to install much after that. JSn1™
Installed, but not working, maybe the problem is in the boot. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/61384-install-and-boot-mac-os-x-from-ipod/#findComment-437427 Share on other sites
