I have tried, tried, and tried again. I have looked over multiple guides on how to get the OS X VMWare image to boot natively on my PC.

In particular, I have tried this guide.

Here are the two images I am going on..

In this image, you can see the string that I should be using for the 10 GB Seagate drive that I have temporarily set as slave to the Windows XP partition.

Here is what I type and what I get about 10 minutes later.

I then turn off the computer, disconnect the Windows drive, set the 10 GB drive to Master/Single, and I get a message telling me something along the lines of "Boot From Previous Device Failed." I don't think those are the exact words, but whatever. Pretty much, it's my computer telling me that it can't boot from the 10 GB drive.

I put the hard drive in an Athlon XP System (yes I know SSE2 isn't supported) just to see if it would give me a kernel panic or anything as a result of booting. It told me that no operating system was found.

My specs for the machine I actually want to get running OS X:

Athlon 64 2800+

MSI K8T Neo Motherboard

512 MB DDR 3200 RAM

80 GB EIDE Western Digital Drive (Windows)

10 GB EIDE Seagate Drive (Potential OS X)

Radeon 9200 Video Card

If you have any other information you need to know about what I have explained (or not explained), feel free to ask. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you!

well, im just getting nohing blank with blinking cursor... that's it ... i've only the tiger-x86-flat.img file, dd.exe blank after rebooting with the new drive. Listen to what i did: Inside VMWare i set up three drives: one with the tiger-x86-flat.img (system-boot) another one with an exact copy of tiger-x86-flat.img (you can't restore your bootdisk because it will give you "in use" error) and the third with the physical drive (destination osx86) did the disk utility thing where i restored the working booting drive into the hard disk.... long story short: nothing same blank screen after reboot. Is it my PS2 keyword? seems it's a hardware thing? Am I totally missing something should i get the install disc?
