soupcancooloff
HOTiSO has been releasing Mac OS X disks for a while and as far as I know, these are untouched therefore you cannot install on non-Apple hardware. People/Groups such as Jas, uphuck and tubgirl take these disks and hack them to allow for more customization, more drivers and various kernels. Sure you can download it, but you won't be able to use it. dubhead
I think if i remember right the 10.4.6 HotISO was workin for Hackintoshs.. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/61041-macosxtiger10410x86-hotiso/#findComment-433770 Share on other sites
soupcancooloff
Maybe that old release worked because Apple didn't know people were going to be installing it on non-apple hardware, the 10.4.10 update is the latest for Tiger and I doubt they would all of the sudden strip the protection. bluedragon1971
I think if i remember right the 10.4.6 HotISO was workin for Hackintoshs..That release was a bit-for-bit copy of one of JaS' 10.4.6 releases. As far as I've ever seen, it's the only Hackintosh release they have ever done.Maybe that old release worked because Apple didn't know people were going to be installing it on non-apple hardware, You haven't been here long, have you? Apple has had protection since 10.4.1 (the first developers release). ank14
okay so I am confused. I downloaded this thinking that I could burn it to a dvd and run the setup. But when Im in Alcohol 120% and going to burn the image, it doesnt recognize the image file or when I try to mount it and view the discs contents it wont. So I am assuming that this disc is made for macs? or am I missing a step or is this release not meant for a pc?
