Asus P5B-E OSX86 System.. some success..but need help

Much to my glee I managed (after giving up and forgetting for 6 months) to get OSX 10.4.8 to boot after changing some of the installtion options and all manner of switching round DVD/HD from PATA / USB enclosure connection.

 

I have managed to get SATA working using the all in one P5B patch package from Mistico. However it is not seeing my Plextor CD/DVD which is attached via Sata on a IDE - Sata convertor. Any ideas why this is so? Also OSX doesn't want to boot when the old 20 gig PATA drive I've installed OSX on is connected via IDE as apposed to USB enclosure...I will buy a new SATA drive for the OSX system anyways..but are ALL of the SATA ports known to work so I can have 5 HD's installed. I realise the L1 LAN chip aint never gonna get successfully patched so I will just have to use some USB ethernet or something.

 

It is my dream plan to run a dual boot XP/OSXsetup (literally choosing a different boot drive from BIOS on startup) in order to run Logic 7 Pro (which I will have to buy of course). Transfer of files between XP/OSX will be needed.... and at the moment OSX is seeing my other NTFS drives and happily reading / writing to them... is that normal? Is it becuase I installed Mac Drive on the XP system drive.

 

Also.. I know the M-Audio Delta 44 is known not to work...I will be purchasing a MOTU pci/firewire or other firewire... but why is the Mac not seeing my TC Electroni Powercore PCI MKII? Do I just need to install the drivers first (downloading them right now)

ok.. powercore works.. although system profiler still says no PCI cards are in the system weird... deffinitly works though as its come up with all the remaining demo times..
