superman1101
if you have OS X installed, then that's the best you'll get for now... generally people need to download the drivers specific for their computers. i've seen people get their broadcom wireless connection running, and some even have their ATI cards up and running (but most with limited acceleration). so generally, after installation you'll have to look around for drivers for things that aren't working... this link has drivers that might work for your wireless, since it's broadcom hopefully it works... but just look around.. good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/60846-help-choosing-osx-disc-to-use-on-amd-laptop/#findComment-432064 Share on other sites
twisted blatino
thanks, it wasnt installed but i got it working from vmware to native, i did some hwsensor thing to speed up boot to bypass vga family error, then i got to the desktop but uma was SLOWWW i couldnt even duble click to open a file cuz the corser will keeep rolling, so im trying 1.4a , i hope it works cuz its amd based, but ppl say that jas releases are better, ugh , i need help, i had 10.4.6 running b4 , needed a lot of fixes but the most stable version i ran i thinks. so if anyone has my comp or similar please post what you didOK just so everyone knows what ive done sofar, i installed 10.4.8 jas using vmware to native cuz with native first i get still waiting for root device, also my data transfer rate on native is sloowww , almost 9 hours to install, so my only choice is vmware to native, i followed the how to guide. after the install i get something like this: boot major 15 minor 2 , then alot of vga family specific matching errors, i get to login window app started with alot of failed to send packed on interface id errors, so i boot back into windows , go to vmware and boot up the v machine, then i did a hw sensor trick from rammjets sig to boot faster. FINALLY i got to the desktop, but i dont think it was reading my ati x200 sbridge so my dma was SLOWWW , everything was xtra slow, so slow that if i double clicked anything the courser would keep spining, and lock up the system. so i could patch in native osx, i tried patching with smbios from 1.4a but then i couldnt boot.id get the boot major minor thing, and then take forever for any other line of text to show. right now im installing 10.4.9 v1.4a uphuck amd, i only chose system , and a sound, network and callisto 3 patch .. ill post what happens AGAIN , IF ANYONE HAS A SIMILAR SYSTEM PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU , HELP OUT SOMEONE WHO SPENT( NOT WAISTED , A DAY IS NEVER WAISTED ) ALMOST 3 WKS DOING THIS!! thank anyone who replies in advancedaim- twisted blatino Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/60846-help-choosing-osx-disc-to-use-on-amd-laptop/#findComment-432125 Share on other sites
