kamikaze2112
Ok, I'm wanting to upgrade from .6 to .9 using the JaS update that i have. Trouble is that I want to make a bootable backup of my hdd before I install this update cause i have a feeling it's going to get screwed up. I've used Carbon Copy Cloner with the make bootable switch, but when i try to boot from it i get a B0 error. I remember having a similar problem with my original install of OS X on this machine and used a partition tool to set the partition as active and all was good, but I can't seem to do this on the cloned disk that I get from CCC. The disks are identical Seagate Sata II 250gb drives. Any ideas? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/60818-b0-error-on-cloned-disk/ Share on other sites
kamikaze2112
Nevermind...i found a program that actually just copies block by block. It's called HDClone, and in order to clone to equal or smaller sized hdds, you need to get the pro version. gimpyviper
Usually a b0 error is caused by a bad MBR In whiich case you can boot from a Win98 floppy, do a fdisk /mbr then activate the partition using fdisk.
