I have a rss feed on the vista sidebar and it has several new news articles that aren't on the front page. When I go to the front page the newest article is the apple support call. I have used several different computers and I have the same result on each of them. erbic Posted August 20, 2007 Share Posted August 20, 2007 I dunno if you're noticed the... craziness here over the past couple of days (well, at least in the Forum Feedback forum), but at least one article was put up and immediately deleted because it contained some controversial information regarding an administrator here at InsanelyMac. Aside from that, though, it hasn't changed. Aside from that, though, it hasn't changed.I saw something but I'm not completely sure whats going on. Anyway a good rule of thumb. Don't talk trash about admins. They run the site so you don't have the freedom of speech. Live with it. However I'm not sure about the fifth freedom. (Inside joke) I am curious about the banning though. I was just reading through the forum rules: After 5 warnings placed on your account you will be banned from accessing the forum.So did the person in question have five warnings placed on their account already or did the mod make an immediate rash decision. Oh, and reading about IP bannings, thats a bad idea. Many people have dynamic IP's. And if they are smart, like me, can change them on demand. Banning an IP will force the user to change their IP and then the next person to get it will have to face a ban. I would assume it WAS an IP-ban as well, since he's had to use proxies to get back on the forum. We should be finding out more about this in the next couple of days, or whenever Sabr posts his update. There was a little slip-up at Fubra that means some of it got released early... At the moment, we have two places to put news, so it's a little confusing! The guys at Fubra will have it all sorted out soon.
