So probably not the best idea, but...sometimes the lapse in judgement proves to get things done. Anywaz...

I had been looking for a good screensaver as i thought it would be wildly fun to have some kind of shark aquarium playing on my 50" plasma tv that i was building a second hack for. So while tweaking that system to be ideal, i was downloading screensavers, looking for the perfect Aquarium set.

I downloaded many, and deleted many, as they were just...lame. Marine Aquarium is apparently unusuable for us hackintosh users, which blows...but, i kept going.

I think in one of my many "deletes" i did something that might be bad. I chuckle, as i am still tipsy and not fully realizing what a pain in the butt this may prove to be tomorrow.

When i try to go to system preferences now and go to Displays and Screensavers, the error message "The application system preferences quit unexpectedly. Mac Os X and other applications are not affected. Click reopen blah blah blah" comes up.

Did i permanently mess something up? Or is there a way to fix this?

Also...any suggestions on a REALLY cool aquarium screensaver that is realistic with some killer sharks for 50" plasma joy? Heh.

Sober now...decided to do some digging on this subject.

This forum had no information helping me in my problem, so i took it to google...finally, got this page.

System Preferences Quits Unexpectedly

Basically followed it, but instead of looking for itunes, just deleted anything regarding screensaver. Everything works again! Yay for google...

And if you got a good laugh out of drunken messes...then my job is done.

What have i learned from this? Absolutely nothing...heh.
