peterpan_bz
Hi there, I just recently bought a new PC and then the other day stumbled across this website, which seemed quite interesting to me. Since I am new to the topic I have a question whether my hardware is capable of installing Mac OSX or not. The Motherboard is an MSI P4M900M2-L (it's written MS-7255 VER 2.2 on it). It's a Socket 775 mainboard with VIA chipset (VIA VT8237A Southbridge). Sound is onboard (7.1) as well as a network adapter (both VIA). The processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 (Conroe), 2 x 1,8 Ghz. Graphic adapter is a Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS PCIe. Can anyone right away tell me that I'm out with all this hardware? Or is there hope that it could work? Thanks and have a great day. BJMoose
I haven't seen much of anything about this board in any recent posts. You might want to check out the wiki: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.4.8#MSI_2 to compare it to MSI boards listed there. peterpan_bz
That's the point, I couldn't find it on the list that's why I was hoping that someone else might know more about it or if it could work with this chipset.... I guess I should just try it out.... Thanks. outZider
Hey there. I haven't used your board, but have had pretty good luck with the VIA chipsets. Your best option is to boot off the DVD and give it a go on another hard drive. You'll probably run into issues with Audio primarily, but most VIA network stuff has a driver at this point.
