Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron B120 Hackintosh running OSX 10.4.8 with no problems whatsoever, except for DVD Player playing my DVDs completely slow. It seems the frame rate is lessened to such a degree that movies just can't be watched on here, so I have to resort to VLC. I would personally rather use the DVD Player software that comes with OSX. Does anyone have this same problem? And is there anyone who can help solve this issue? I would greatly appreciate it. :)

Yea, my computer does support QE and CI. My graphics card is the Intel 915GM. Graphics work really well on my system, but for some reason unknown to me, DVD Player just displays DVDs at ridiculously slow speeds, whereas VLC displays them at perfect speed. However, I like to use Front Row, so I want to find out how to tweak DVD Player into actually working. Is there anyone who has this same problem?

does your cpu support both sse2 and sse3 or just sse2

from what i know the dvd player uses the sse3 instruction set to decode dvds so if the instruction set has to be emulated it will go slow
