Thanks Well, first you should know for sure that your hardware setup is perfectly setup like OSX Hard Drive on IDE Master (in bios set it to ACPI), DVD drive on IDE Slave (both hooked on the same cable). This solved my problem. But you could also try and burn your DVD onto another DVD brand. DVD-RW in some cases also cause problems. And when you burn it burn it slow. Hope this will fix your problem. bluedragon1971
Specifically which Uphuck DVD did you use (there are several versions)? If it ended in an "i", then that is likely your problem, as those are only designed for Intel chipset machines, not AMD. You need the version ending in "a". aehirst
Thanks for the quick answers, I know it was the 1.3 version but I do not remember if it was "a" or "i". I shall check everything when I get home and update. aehirst
I fixed the SAM errors by putting my hdd and dvd on the same IDE cable. However I have installed OSX using a linux formatted HDD with the SSE3 install and no drivers. When I try to boot up the machine it come up with "com.apple.Boot.plist missing" Any ideas? BJMoose
Most likely culprits for this error are either the partition is not set as primary active or it's in guid mode instead of mbr mode. Must be mbr. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/60323-problem-installing-uphuck-1049/#findComment-429252 Share on other sites
