how to install MACOSX 10.4.8

i am guy who interested in MACOSX . So i have macosx 10.4.8 DVD then i gave it a try to install it on my LAPTOP whose series is SONY VAIO FS VGN-FS640/W .For many times try to install it but it does not still work . everytime i boot up my laptop .it is halted .So could anyone help me to solve this thing .Just send your manual to my email :hennrykhoa@hotmail.com .
