Vaggelis100
Hi! I'm trying to install Uphuck 10.4.9 v1.4a to my AMD system but without success. When it says press any key to install, if I press any key, it goes to a screen that says "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button for several seconds or press the Restart button." in 4 languages. I have tried pressing F8 and then typed -v, and it gets stuck to a line that says Darwin Kernel Version 8.8.1 and at the end semthex:/nabukadnezar/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386. My system: CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Motherboard: MSI K9N Neo (Chipset: nVidia nForce 550) Graphics: Gecube Ati Radeon X1950Pro Hard Drive: SAMSUNG HD160JJ SCSI Disk Device (160 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA-II) Thanks in advance for your help! Vaggelis100
This is the screen I'm getting: Edit: When I type cpus=1, it continues but then at the screen with the apple logo and the turning circle, it keeps loading forever. With -v it gets stuck where it says "using ... buffer headers and ... cluster IO buffer headers" with some numbers I don't remember Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59703-cant-boot-installation-dvd/#findComment-425248 Share on other sites
kainil
I am getting a similar problem. The installation stop just after the buffer header messages. I am using the MSI7357 G33M/ICH9R motherboard, with Sata DVD and Sata disks, AHCI enabled. Any hints and help appreciated! /Kainil Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59703-cant-boot-installation-dvd/#findComment-433629 Share on other sites
