uzico
Dear friends, I installed the 10.4.8 JaS Version on my LG T1 notebook, but have a big problem with the notebook-keyboard... The touchpad is working perfectly and the connected usb-keyboard, too. But the notebook-keyboard refuses to work. I had a couple of hopeless attempts with the solutions from the forum, but none of them worked... I installed also all of the modified kext-files found on the forum. Either I connect the usb-keyboard or not: I can't get the internal keyboard work I don't know if I have to modify the ApplePS2controller.kext in some way to get my keyboard working... Do you have any suggestions? What can be the problem? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59516-notebook-keyboard-on-lg-t1/ Share on other sites

uzico
Hello festool, no, my sleep doesn't work... the same issue with wake up... I have no idea how to get the keyboard to work. Only thing to do is to appeal to other people with LG notebooks to help us I'm not sure, but I think it has to do with the chipset/motherboard used in LG laptops.... EDIT: problem is the Intel 8042 Keyboard-Controller, that isn't working with osx86: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=55687 The specifications of i8042 can be found here: http://www.computer-engineering.org/ps2keyboard/ i8042 should be accessible via 0x60 and 0x64 port... Do somebody know how to see, how osx86 now accesses the controller and change the ports? copa
I am pretty sure I have the same issue, however, I have a Gateway c-140x tablet. In DXDiag I get the keyboard service: i8042prt and matching device ID: *pnp0303. The trackpad (which works perfectly) has the same service but a different device ID: *syn0404. Let me know if anyone figures this out. I have tried various ApplePS2Controller.kexts, ACPIPS2Nub.kexts, and have changed the AppleACPIPlatform.kext. I have the sound working, don't have wireless yet, but cant really work without an internal keyboard.
