T0MM_
This might sound stupid but I'm trying to understand this. Today, I have been interested in wanting to run MAC OS X on my WINDOWS PC without having to buy a apple comupter. I've read up to where it can be used by PearPC to run it as a emulator and all but it runs slow. I've found a thing called, "Mac OSX86" which I heard runs on windows perfect just like mac on windows and it runs fast. Basically a hacked version. Am I getting this right? So all I need to do is find this and install this and it should be like a mac on my PC? Please help, thanks! Baliw
1. Installing a hack version of Mac OSX on regular PC is not easy, you need to go HERE first to check if your existing hardwares are compatible. 2. Read first the forum, specially how to install Mac OSX. 3. If you feel that you can do it then get yourself a copy JAS 10.4.8 Mac osx dvd or uphuck dvd. Search and you shall find. T0MM_
Just checked and my PC supports SSE3 so that's all good. Now, I'm getting my hands on upchuck dvd now. Would I just install this like I would with windows and delete my windows and have this take over? I've been reading have this a 2nd partition but what if I don't want windows again? I can't just have it so when I turn the PC on, it goes right to Mac? And now if I have both, will this slow any of these down when they are loaded? Qubeat
Hi TOMM_! It`s better for you in the beginning to let windows on your system as well because if your machine will not start again because of when you update in a false way and forget something (for example backup old kernel), you`re not able to connect to Internet to look through this furum to get any help with your screwed up machine. So be sure what is going on with os x before switching at all!!! Greeeeeeeeez PS: It will not slow down your System!
