fishyeah Posted August 5, 2007 Share Posted August 5, 2007 I enabled the "windows sharing" on my hackintosh. Previously, my hackintosh PC and windows laptop can access each other's share with no problem. After updated with the latest security update, the laptop no longer able to access hackintosh's share: if the hackintosh's firewall is on, pinging from the laptop will get no response; if the firewall is off, pinging will be ok, but trying to map hackintosh's share will return an error message "The specified network name is no longer available". Hacktintosh can still access laptop's share with smb://192.168.0.3/share. Any ideas?
