alvin777
Hi. I've searched the forums but the time issue they got only happens when they dual boot to windows or on OSX86. I've checked my BIOS battery to be ok but everytime I boot to OSX86 (time is set automatically on the control panel) then reboot again to check my BIOS's date and time, it goes back to several hours making me set it up again everytime. This would have been alright if I only had OSX86 but I dual boot to Vista which displays the wrong time (even if I have also set the time to adjust automatically) because OSX86 changed the BIOS time. Any solution on this? How could an OS be changing the BIOS setting anyway? Is there some kind of program running that is similar to a Windows firmware flash utility? Thx. weirdlookinguy
This is because OS X uses Universal Time instead of Local Time. Here's the fix: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...iversal_for_RTC Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/58943-osx86-sets-bios-time-back-a-few-hours/#findComment-420261 Share on other sites
roxen
Try to set your time zone in: System Preferences -> Date & Time -> Time Zone Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/58943-osx86-sets-bios-time-back-a-few-hours/#findComment-420279 Share on other sites
alvin777
Thx for the reply. I've done the time zone setting as well but OSX86 still somehow changes the bios date/time.
