CyCLoBoT
I installed an AMD X2 Dual Core cpu and when I check the specs, I see that it shows "Total Number of Cores: 1". Is that correct? I have attached the screenshot.
BJMoose
You can't always believe what's written in your system profiler on Hacks. There's a little piece of software called menumeters. It's on most of the uphuck releases. Check that out and see how many cpu's it shows running.

BJMoose
Glad to be of help. Now, if you want your "About This Mac" and "System Profiler" to report accurate info for your system, do a search for aboutthismac.strings and localizable.strings. Those two files control a lot of the info reported to System Profiler.
