rschultz101 Posted August 2, 2007 Share Posted August 2, 2007 topic: Graphics Vesa screen resolution limit / workaround ? no graphics support 1024x768 limit ? since a lot of installs are limited to the vesa 1024x768 limit, without getting the graphics to work, question: is there a way to , get additional resolutions to show up in the default graphics support ? most have different res screens, lcd's 1280x1024 1280x800 1440x900 1680x1050 1920x1200 even if quarz is not supported, at least the 2D apps should work with it, commen new graphics problems, intel gma x3000 x3100 mobile 8400m gs 8500m gt nvidia 8-series 8400gs, 8500gt,8600gt , via chrome 9, this would solve the initial usability problem with graphics please post any ideas !? other possibility,.... does a apple card work ? get the nvidia bios flashed ? for me, mobo x3100 only 1024x768, no quartz,... and looking for a low profile nvidia, new ones are all 8-series,... 8500gt fanless low profile, be nice,... nefilim Posted August 2, 2007 Share Posted August 2, 2007 my onboard GeForce 6150 seems to work fine at 1280x1024 changing the resolution Boot.plist parameter. I'm sure it's using the VESA driver.
