Hi everyone,

I have to choose between 2 thinkpads.

One is an IBM T60 15" with an Intel Core 2 Duo (so 64-bit) processor 5400 (1,86Ghz) (which I own right now and runs Mac OSX86)

The other one is an IBM T60 widescreen (15,4") with an Intel Centrino Duo (32-bit) processor 7200 (2Ghz)

The other specifications of the laptops are the same (same graphic card, etc, or I could just switch some things, like the Atheros wifi).

So bottom line, which is the better processor for running Mac Osx86? I know that in Windows Vista the 7200 centrino duo gets a slightly better rating (4,9) then the 5400 core 2 duo (4,8), but that is Vista 32-bit.

If the widescreen had the 5400 core 2 duo, I would definitely go for that one, or is the 7200 centrino duo as good?

Hope someone can help me out.

Grtz, Tamara

The centrino duo is limited to 32-bit. Perhaps as a future investment running 64-bit operating systems this is a safer bet. OSX hack is 32-bit so in the here and now the one with the fastest Mhz AND fastest FSB is the better CPU.
