Hello,

I had another account but forgot the user name I used.

Anyhow, I have Tubgirl 10.4.10 running on the following configuration:

AMD 3800+ X2

DFI Expert

2 gig Geil RAM

ASUS Radeon x1800xt

Seagate 720010 500 gig SATA drive.

Soundblaster Audigy (yeah, I know that won't work).

DUring installation I could not use my USB keyboard/mouse at all, so I couldn't do anything.

Mounted ISO with Daemon. Used VMWARE Workstation 5.5. Made a virtual installation to the SATA drive using persisent function, or whatever that was where you can write directly to the drive. Made sure to partition MBR format, OSX Journaled.

During the install (VM) I selected the ATI x1000 kexts, as choosing the x1800 would cause problems. Also chose X11. Don't know why, but I thought I should.

After finishing in VMWARE it didn't seem like it wanted to boot (in VM). So I shut the computer down, restarted with the tubgirl DVD in the drive, and low and behold OSX86!!! I was so happy! It had me press the keys on either side of the shift key to detect the kind of USB keyboard I have, then finished up asking me all the questions and such.

Ethernet detected right away. Didn't apply the audio update yet though. Audio is not my main concern at the moment, as i have an M-Audio Ozone I can use for audio out.

After playing around for a bit, I discovered I didn't have QE/CI. Found the Diabokik x1800 kext, downloaded the package, installed, and repaired permissions. Rebooted. STILL no QE/CI. The card is indeed detected as an ATI Radeon x1800 with 512 megs of memory, and I have dual DVI displays working at 1280x1024, not mirroed.

So, everything except audio and QE/CI are working. My main goal is to get QE/CI. The audio I can deal with later.

Also, I was trying to use Acronis Boot Selector to try to boot from each. It didn't recognize the OSX86 install, despite the fact that it was partitioned in MBR format. So I gave up on Acronis and deactivated the boot selector. Tried to get back into Windows and BAM.... BSOD with IRQ not less or equal. Tried a bunch of stuff, but finally to get back into Windows (where I am now) I had to re-activate the Acronis boot selector and configure the Windows OS to HIDE the Seagate drive with OSX86 on it. That seemed to do the trick. From now on, I guess I'll just select the boot drive in the BIOS.

Can anyone steer me to a tutorial on how to get QE/CI working on my ASUS Radeon x18000xt with the Diabolik kext??? I would really really really REALLY appreciate it.

I'm not sure what my onboard audio is, but like I said I'd rather try to use the M-Audio midi device for audio out, rather than trying to get onboard audio to work.

Thanks in advance and PLEASE help me if you can. I am SOOOO close! All I need is QE/CI and I am golden! :)

try reading the forums and searching, instead of just asking and bumping. The answers you seek are out there.

I HAVE. Excuse me, I didn't realize you were such an authority on this forum with all FOUR of your posts, your majesty. :D

General Cartman, you mentioned the Natit. Actually, those were the drivers I installed. I got the installer package from Diabolik's website. So my original post should read Natit drivers and not Diabolik drivers.

Is there something I need to edit once the drivers are installed to enable QE/CI ???? Anyone but GutBomb please respond. It is obvious he's not here to help anyone.
