Upgrading problems, and system issues

Hello, I'm new to the OSX world in general, i originally was trying to install my OSX (legal too, shocking eh) on my new PC (don't have a mac, just the OS) and PearPC just didnt work, it wouldnt boot anything so I gave up there and found out about OSx86 which i found and installed (10.4.1)

 

My goal is to get Shake 4 demo running ok since I will be taking a Shake a class in a couple months.

 

The first time installing failed for whatever reason, but the second try worked. It's running OK but crashes occasionally. It also can't restart, just shut down (restart locks up the comp at the blue screen witht he twirly thing).

 

So i read on the forums that 10.4.1 can't run Shake but that 10.4.3 should have a G4 emulator or something like that, and would run Shake. The P2P networks are not giving me much luck, and I was only able to get the "10.4.1 to 10.4.3 update" 600mb package. When I try using that, it says it has completed and that i need to restart (which locks up the comp). I have to reset the comp, and once it reboots, it crashes on the gray boot screen. I restart again and it happens again, and the third time on average, it boots fine. I also still have 10.4.1 like peopl were complaining. Shake doesn't run.

 

Any tips? Obvously I can't ask for files, but any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I tried running Shake and it's doing very fine... no crashes, and speed is acceptable.

I don't know if you must have G4 emulation, but I could ran it with the 8f1111 and the 8f1111a update.

The 10.4.3 update package is only partly a update to 10.4.3. You need 8f1111 full and update with the 8f1111a. That's the only way I know. So I guess you try that. Btw. I have SSE3.0 CPU.
