Doubt it, the startup size and desktop resolution are independent.

Does your laptop have bios level CRT/LCD keystrokes to manipulate various features?

If so, try playing with those. (I had a Dell that did that with Windows also, but it also effected vertical size, but maybe it will help.)

i know that, but i though that he already try that ....

If he did he didn't mention it in this thread. ;)

Is the resolution correctly reported in OS X? (1024x768 or is it like 640x800)

If so would seem to indicate the problem is laptop hardware related and not OS X software.

no it has not

i think the hardware is ok, i can play with the newest games on it,

but i can not install the video, because the display is worse than was, the whole display is dark, and sometimes (after restart) can i see it good, just it is vertical flipped or rotated right...

No I'm not suggesting the hardware is bad.

Since LCDs only have one native resolution the scaling can be done native by the hardware or by the OS. There is a keystroke to switch between the two. On my old Dell laptop it would get confused sometimes and display wrong.

If you boot the Installer DVD is the screen shrunk like that also?
