Detosx
I have a HP DV6205US. During boot up I was genly cleaning the keys. I got to the login window but it wouldn't type. I rebooted. Now it only boots up into safe boot. The cleaning part might or might not be concidental. Not so long ago I updated to Koolkal 10.4.10 but I'm fairly sure it was booting up fully before that point. Also I ran xslimmer to cut out Application bloat. Again, I'm fairly sure it was booting up without problems after that time. In safe mode I ran Repair Disk Permissions. Still no joy, it just boots into Safe Boot. None of the keys seem to be sticky. EDIT - A BLACK CRUMB HAD LODGED ITSELF TO ONE SIDE OF THE ALT KEY!!! Always admit your mistakes, then hide for a week Hope this helps someone, one day!
