Shigimatsu
So hey, i was wondering if anyone had any drivers/suggestions for using the internet with an Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG network connection card? It's wireless, and i've heard wireless has a lot of problems, but I need to make this work. I'm running a Dell Inspiron E1705, with a dual-core Intel processor, 2GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce 7900 GS (I didn't think my system would matter for this, but it might XD) I'm also running the Uphuck v1.3 10.4.9 OS X. Thanks a ton! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/58009-intelr-prowireless-3945abg-network-connection/ Share on other sites
exabyte
It seems that noone really cares about "Intel 3945ABG" I tried to find a solution for like a month now, and nothing helped. Althought I ran into someone saying something about turning wireless ON before initiating the installation, and someone had the luck to fool OS X to see "3945" as an AirPort. I might try it today. P.S. Huh, Mac OS X seems so useless without Wi-Fi... youngi
there's only a test driver for the 3945, but it's not a fully working driver, it only makes your OS detect the card, but cant search for available network nor connect....developers are hopefully still building it, but i dont think it'll be done anytime soon...buy a mac compatible usb wifi like the Dlink DWL-G122 and ull get wifi on mac like alot of people did.... PLEASE SEARCH THE FORUM BEFORE POSTING....THERE"S A ZILLION TOPIC ABOUT THE 3945 ISSUES!!!!!
