SDRacer48
Do you have a video card or integrated video that supports both QE and CI? If you do not, you will not be able to play DVDs atleast I am not able to. sheeplover
I got a different problem regarding DVD: When I insert an original Movie-DVD it won't get mounted. The DVD-Player opens because it recognizes the DVD but no icon will apear on desktop and it will not play anything. I took a look into /Volumes in terminal - and .. there it is. But I can't see the DVD with the "Goto folder" command in GUI either... :-( Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57975-dvd-player/#findComment-423971 Share on other sites
Gray_Matter
first check the system profiler and check to see if you have a supported DVD drive under disk burning. If your drive shows in the system profiler under disk burning and is unsupported go to www.patchburn.de and download a copy of patchburn and install it. after you reboot you will have a working DVD reader/ writer.
