ReScorpio
I have some folders on my SATA drives which are named like .info, .misc (first symbol is dot). But when, for example, I want to open them with iTunes they simply don't show up. Is there any method to make them display properly or should I just rename them? roxen
A hidden file is an ordinary file whose name begins with a period (called "dot"). The .login, .cshrc, and .logout files are hidden files. Try 'ls -als ~' (w/o quotes) in Terminal. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57854-dots-in-folder-names/#findComment-413228 Share on other sites
Headrush69
A tool like Onyx can enable viewing of hidden files but I strongly suggest you rename your files and avoid naming "normal" files with periods.
