I installed uphuck 10.4.9 v1.4i on my pc then started up mac succsessfully but....

then i did a software update and now every time i try and start up mac my computer restarts itself, help please!

I dont know i just clicked software update and it did all the avaliable updates

Well Whip, that is what you do on a regular Mac, but NOT on a Hackintosh as all the 'hacks' and patches are overwritten by standard Apple files rendering your hackintosh non-working in almost all cases where the system software is updated. Start over and make a backup of the OSX partition with software like True Image so that you can restore a working well configured OSX version over a buggered one anytime you feel like it without having to reinstall.

 

The hack seems a great thing, OSX on regular PC hardware and can give the illusion of working monkey proof, but in fact it is not as monkey proof as the 'real' OSX experience can be.
