Sisko690
I owned a mac once upon a time and I had upgraded the CPU and the CD-ROM on the machine along with OSX. Needless to say I loved OSX, but circumstances forced me to sell my mac. I now have a custom built PC and spent 3 long days working with 3 different ISOs and tracking down the needed drivers. I now have a hackintosh running perfectly OSX 10.4.9 with kernel 8.9.1 System Specs are as follows: Gigabyte GA-945GM-S2 - 7600GT PCI-X - Seagate 160GB SATAII - Hitachi Deskstar SATAII - Samsung SH-S183L DVD+-DL - 2GB DDR2 667 - Core 2 Duo E6600 - ALC883 onboard Audio - Realtek onboard gigabit nic - ICH7 Intel chipset - digital media manager with slots for MS/CF/MD/SD/MMC/SM - 2 USB Flash drives :censored2: Everything works perfectly video, sound (out, in, microphone),except sleep cause it won't come out. I currently have WinXP and OSX on the same drive using the Darwin bootloader. I know there is 10.4.10 but I am not going to upset a perfectly working 10.4.9 setup. I would consider using OSX full time but there are still a few games I like to play that are on Windoze. I might redo my pc so OSX takes up more than 36GB on my HDD and scale back XP to only the space I need for a few things. I used Jas 10.4.8 AMD Intel SSE2 SSE3 PPF1 PPF2 iso with Jas 10.4.9 combo update intel SSE3. :censored2: Ventrilo and WoW handle like a dream on this hackintosh, even both cores on my C2D are recognized. OSX boots up so much faster than XP, handles much beter, and is ALOT faster on the net. I would love to thank those who have made this possible to enjoy one of the best OS's on any hardware you have. apple apple
Welcome. I too had a mac at one time, loved it... but she was getting long in the tooth. So I sold her.
