~anima
Wow i didnt found that "feature". I think its pretty useful when ur cpu automatic clocks down. what about start a 3d game or a app and look again. maybe youll get the full speed when u stat an app. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57627-core-2-duo/#findComment-412163 Share on other sites

chris512
I changed the com.boot.apple.plist file and put in the fsb of my processor.I have an Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 2.4. the bus speed is 1066. So divide this by 4 and it gives you 266.5. I rounded this up to 267. This then reads as a 2.4 core 2 duo in the "about this Mac" after a reboot. If you round down to 266 it reads as a 2.39 core 2 duo so round up. I tried upgrading to KoolKal 10.4.10 and it shafted my system so had to do this instead. You have to move the com.apple.boot.plist file to the desktop to edit it too. It won't let you mod it in the folder.Always back up these files too, just in case. Hope that helps.Chris. <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>fsb=267</string> <key>Boot Graphics</key> <string>Yes</string> </dict> </plist> Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57627-core-2-duo/#findComment-428947 Share on other sites
