Morpheus Phreak
Choose only one kernel, choose only one video driver, and choose only one natit/etc kext. If you choose to just randomly install them all they will conflict. CptanPanic
if it stops during install it isn't kernel problems, it has to be bad disk. Make sure you check md5 of image and try burning slow. Whip
Ok thanks, i heard somewhere that when burning you have to tick some hfs box or sumthing, i didnt do that i just used neo burning rom to burn the image, i couldnt find anything to do with hfs. also, what is md5 and how do i 'check' it? BJMoose
MD5 is a checksum that allows you to compare your downloaded image with the original to verify it's not corrupted or fake. BJMoose
I use a little freeware proggie called MD5 Checker. You can google for it if you're interested. If you have the MD5 from the original poster, you simply paste it in the appropriate spot, browse to the file you want to verify, and it immediately tells you whether the checksums match or not. Ok thanks, i heard somewhere that when burning you have to tick some hfs box or sumthing, i didnt do that i just used neo burning rom to burn the image, i couldnt find anything to do with hfs.As for burning with Nero (neo???) Burning Rom, no need to check anything to do with hfs. In fact, you can just use Nero Express to burn the image (that's what I did). Make sure you're recording to the proper medium (dvd as opposed to cd) and off you go. Also, burn at the slowest speed possible for the best results. Takes a little more time, but it's worth it.
