Primo
Hi all my first post here... I realize that this might be a total newbie question but Finder crashes and restarts everytime I access the "About This Mac" menu. I'm using the JAS 10.4.9 installation it worked flawlessly and everything that should work, just well works. Anyone can point a hopeless newbie to the solution? Searching the forums have yielded no results... sadly. There is a limitation with using words shorter than four letters. Entering "aboutthismac" yielded better results but still nothing. Help! Program86
IF SMBIOS doesnt work, just use the 10.4.4 login window fix. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57477-about-this-mac-crashes-finder/#findComment-410623 Share on other sites
bibendum
The SMBIOS fix can sometimes cause restart/sleep issues. You're better off using the 10.4.4.loginwindow.pkg fix. Oh Really? My hackintosh won't sleep without rebooting on wake - could the SMBIOS fix have caused that? Bjostein
I had the same Problem, Disabling "CPUID max" something in Bios fixed it.. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57477-about-this-mac-crashes-finder/#findComment-527757 Share on other sites
