I started using my laptop as a hackintosh (mostly to get a feeling of how macosx has improved and If i feel comfortably with it (thinking of buying a real macbook pro) and I like it! mostly I will do video editing on it and I woudl wanna try it out, so I installed iMovie, which I read should do the trick. I connect my camera (firewire) and It is recognised, and I can control it using Imovie, but the screen is blue ! Which means that the video itself isn't being transferred, I can rewind/play/everything (the timecode is even correct) but I get no picture What can be wrong? is it the firewire port that is the problem? or is it Imovie, or is it just becuase I use a hackintosh and not a real mac? benwinship Posted July 22, 2007 Share Posted July 22, 2007 That happened to me a while back with a capture camera which i was using to capture footage i had taken with my TRV900 and it turned out the FW port was broken on the capture camera, it may be worth getting a professional to check the FW port on the TRV.
