Slice
Work! I delete plugin AppleGenericPCATA from IOATAFamily and restart. Now plugin AppleOnboardPCATA is loaded and works for both primary and secondary channels! Good luck! trasman
Hi I deleted AppleGenericPCATA.kext from IOATAFamily.kext using finder (because I don't know how to delete files using terminal) and then used kextload AppleOnboardPCATA.kext using terminal. But I still can not find my secondary IDE. Did I do anything wrong? Slice
Type in terminal command ioreg -l and look at the listing carefully. May be you have another version of AppleOnboardPCATA that can't see the secondary channel, or may be you have another driver connected to ATA channel. cubswinfllclssic
I know this sounds primative, but check your master/slave settings. For some reason, I could only get OSX to recognize my secondary IDE when I had one drive as master and the second as slave. Only primary was detected when I used cable select setting. Hope this helps (?) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57342-secondary-ide-not-found/#findComment-423029 Share on other sites
