jstad Posted July 16, 2007 Share Posted July 16, 2007 I have tried installing OSX on my new video card (i was sent this card as a replacement for my eVGA 7900GT 256MB card). Well for the past few days I have tried multiple installations (JaS 10.4.8 SSE3, uphack v1.3) with no success. The install goes fine but when I get to the reboot, the screen will load the light blue background and then go to the "blah blah error, please restart" screen. If I do -x then I just get a black screen after it loads (the display detects a signal but it does not output anything.) My specs are: Intel E6300 C2D 2GB DDR2 ASROCK Conroe945G-DVI (I have it set to use PCI-e video) eVGA 7950GT 512MB PCIe If anyone can show me how to get this working it would be greatly appreciated! I am not sure how to modify .kext files without booting into OSX... Windows RG Posted July 19, 2007 Share Posted July 19, 2007 actually before you do that i got this to work on my 6800 it gave restar screen so i reinstalled without natit then istalled it manually the put my device id's in the kexts and it booted.
