I am currently dualbooting OS X and XP with the help of Acronis OS Selector. I am confident with my OS X setup and I would like to move to OS X only. There are a coupe things I would like to do but am unsure of:

1) Remove Acronis from the MBR and have OS X boot on power up. Acronis served me well but there have been a few times where it gets fouled up and is unable to boot any OS's. To fix I had to do some sort of repair to the MBR with the XP disk, then boot into XP and setup Acronis again. I would just like to take Acronis out of the picture and always boot OS X. Unfortunately my XP installation is hosed and I cant get in to uninstall Acronis that way.

2) I would like to delete my XP partition and reclaim the space it is using. I would like to expand my OS X primary partition to use up the free space left by deleting the XP partition.

Thanks in advance for your help.

you should have created a bootable acronis cd, then you can deinstall the bootloader and make your osx partition active during the uninstall.

for 2) you wont be able to resize the partition. i tried, trust me, you do not want to do that if you like your data.. wait until its time for a reinstall, then sweep your harddrive and make the partitions from scratch. :tomato:

Yeah I went through the same thing when I decided I wanted to go OS X only on the machine. Better to back up all data on another drive and reinstall using all of the space. I would however highly recommend a small space left to toss in some of your more important stuff in case something happens to your OS X install and you have to reinstall as a recovery.. with the nature of the hackintosh and all.
