Aldormanndiobla
Hi all, I am using the guide: OSX 10.4.10 / Vista dual boot (Intel/AMD). But I am stuck at the point there I shall set an partition as active. Whne I type active on the selected partition diskpart says "The selected partition can't be marked as an active partition because of it's type.". What shall I do to make it as active. Before I installed Vista I used Partition Magic 8 to make partitions in Windows XP. Right now I have one for windows, one for Osx86, and one for stuff. Kind Regards! Guest Ramm
1) Boot up your installer DVD and go to Terminal 2) Type diskutil list ; this is used to find your disks number (for the rest of this "X" = the disk number, like disk0sX) 3) Type fdisk -e /dev/rdiskX ; replace X with your disk number (ignore any MBR errors) 4) Type p to find which partition is for Mac OS X (say "Y" is the partition number) 5) Type f Y ; replace Y with your disk number 6) Type write 7) Accept the warning 8) Type reboot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57120-partition-help/#findComment-408189 Share on other sites
