When I'm booting (native or VMWare) and going to my root, after typing -s followed by sh /etc/rc, I get this strange warning "mDNSResponder: Adding browse domain local" and after that message it hangs.

I thought it had to do with my network card so I disabled it, no joy.

Has somebody experienced the same or maybe a solution to this poblem.

With regards,

Did you try to patch your CoreGraphics file?

Yes I did, but I've to do it via Windows and MacDrive, because my root password seems to be wrong. I would like to change the password and that's when I need to get in the root.

Mac OS X native works.

Ps. I tried all the password mentioned on the forum

Repatch it... Use MacDrive again... But use this one instead...

About the password...

Once you get your system to boot (using the above file), type -s at boot... Then type sh /etc/rc when promped... Then, when you get a command line... Type passwd and enter a password, then type passwd curtis and type another password...

It looks to me that I'm patching it with a SSE3 versions, while I've a SSE2 processor (Pentium 4 Northwhood)... I'm not sure that's the correct measure. Did you experienced the same problem, so that you know this solution works. Please let met know.
