Simania_NL
When I'm booting (native or VMWare) and going to my root, after typing -s followed by sh /etc/rc, I get this strange warning "mDNSResponder: Adding browse domain local" and after that message it hangs. I thought it had to do with my network card so I disabled it, no joy. Has somebody experienced the same or maybe a solution to this poblem. Simania_NL
Did you try to patch your CoreGraphics file? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes I did, but I've to do it via Windows and MacDrive, because my root password seems to be wrong. I would like to change the password and that's when I need to get in the root. Mac OS X native works. Ps. I tried all the password mentioned on the forum Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/571-mdnsresponder-adding-browse-domain-local/#findComment-3417 Share on other sites

Use MacDrive again... But use this one instead... http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=538 About the password... Once you get your system to boot (using the above file), type -s at boot... Then type sh /etc/rc when promped... Then, when you get a command line... Type passwd and enter a password, then type passwd curtis and type another password... gamoul
I have the same error when I put an unsuported video card (ATI FireGL 2) but it works with an ATI 9800 or 7500.
