Had a little (well, kind of a big, actually) oops during installation of 10.4.6. I'm trying to install on my emachines m6809... so I move everything on to one windows partition, format the (now free) partition as fat32... boot up off the cd, go to disk utils and attempt to erase the disk partition... get an error message saying something about unable to continue, and poof... both partitions gone. I'd really like to try and get at least the one back... I tried gnome partition editor off ubuntu already, no luck... still going to try and fixmbr and fixboot from windows install, but i feel like im going to need something a little bit more heavy duty in this case. I backed up MOST of my data onto my desktop, but there's just enough left that i'd really REALLY like to save it.

Any suggestions????

there are many recover programs around.I used one called "Recover My Files". Works like a charm.Only works in windows though. I used it to copy back all my files in deleted partitions on my USB HDD.P.S. it's very slow though :(it took half a day(or more) to copy 18Gbs of data.
