Dellius
Hey m8s ;-) Is it possible to hide Skype and Proteus in the Dock so that their windows won't appear on my desktop when I log in? I tried to put a check in the "Hide" checkbox under Accounts -> Login Itmes but it had little effect on them. This is really annoying me. I want my desktop to be completely clean at start up. Danyel
Hi Dellius: There are couple things that could have happened: 1) Skype could have added itself to the Dock. This is easy to remove. Just drag the Skype Icon to the Trash Can. 2) Skype could have added itself to Startup. Simply go to System Preferences - Accounts - Login Items. Select the items you don't wish to startup (Skype, Proteus, etc) and click on the (-) to remove them from Startup. --danyel Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/56621-remove-skype-and-proteus-from-the-desktop/#findComment-404656 Share on other sites
