Hi,

I have some major problems with sound with ALC882 + Intel i945. The sound works after installing one of the patches available (Apple HDA 0.4b), but it sounds really choppy. Is there a solution for it?

It might be your kernel fsb, what cpu are you using ?

Are you sure u have HDA audio. How many ports do you have for audio in the back of the PC. 6= HD Audon, 3= AC97 if its 3 you are using the wrong drivers.

What mobo do u have cuz i might help i have many 882+945 boards here.

I am using Pentium D 805 with Gigabyte GA-8I945P Pro motherboard.

According to DPCIManager, the soundcard is "82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller" with "8086:27d8" ID.

In a few minutes I will try to change something with FSB - maybe it will help.
