NeverLegal
First I would like to thank everyone who has helped me get this far. I now have Uphuck 10.4.9 installed on my Dell Latitude D600 with an Intel Core Duo (though I can only use one core). This post is not a guide. I have no install steps or setup infor for boot camp. Boot Camp (apple) is free... get it from Download.com I was wondering if anyone had any information on dual booting a Hackintosh from the OS X side of it using Boot Camp. I have tried to dual boot vista and OS X for about three days with no sleep using BCD and VistaBootPro 3.3 and I have no idea what Grub is but am soon to try that. Has anyone tried this yet? I am going to try it as soon as it finishes downloading and then am going to post whatever results I obtain. Again thanks for everyone who helped me get this far. I know donations are better but I'm a broke college student with too much debt. That isn't an excuse its sympathy. erbic
Boot Camp ONLY works on OFFICIAL Intel Macs. It will not work on any generic x86 PC (OSx86). Are you trying the chain0 method of dual-booting? What have you done, and what's gone wrong? GRUB is a Linux bootloader... unless you have Linux I'd save it as a last resort. It's certainly possible to use it and load Darwin (the OSx86 bootloader) and also the Vista bootloader, but it's inefficient because it's just another bootloader stuck in there. If you can get it working with Vista's loader, do it. NeverLegal
Well I tried the chain0 method. Meaning I attached chain0 to my c: drive and then made another partition in which I was going to install OS X. I installed OS X on that partition and then changed a couple of things around on OS X so it'll look the way I want. Then I tried to restart and get back into my vista but it gives me the error saying somethings missing it might be due to a recent hardware or software change and then asks me to input my vista install disk. I have a Vista.daa file which I mounted using MagicISO on my XP partition. Vista then erased my XP OS and installed vista. Which is why I don't have a boot disk for vista.I also tried installing them in different ways. OS X first then Vista but Vista won't recognize the format of the partition since it is HFS+ or "Mac Journaled"... However I do have the XP boot disc (wonder if that helps).I did try the Boot Camp thing and it needed an updated firmware which I can't get. Thanks for any help!Sorry about the first post. Its a Dell D620. I had a 600 but that's destroyed. (Thanks Dell replacement program). NeverLegal
Ok... so I was able to triple boot XP Vista and OSX86. I am now using the EasyBCD program for my boot menu and everything works fine. I'm not sure why it wasn't working before but I got it to work now. However I still cannot get any sound from my DELL D620 STAC9200.
