MANY times.. i am trying to get my modifed AppleAC97audio.kext to load, and am not having much luck.. i keep getting this error: /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext/Contents/appleac97audiointelich.kext: no such bundle file exists can't add kernel extension appleac97audiointelich.kext (file access/permissions) (run kextload on this kext with -t for diagnostic output) i've CHMOD -R'd, i've CHOWN -R'd, i've done disk permission repairs.. but i'm getting nowhere.. i've even downloaded a new .kext (Macgirl's i think) and started over, but i'm getting the same error.. these are my exact steps: sudo -s add my ven and dev to: /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext/Contents/info.plist using nano chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions (also tried:) chmod -R 755 /system...blah/blah and chown -R root:wheel/system/blah blah.. am i missing a step? am i doing it wrong? can someone give me a step-by-step ? i've read all the OTHER step-by-steps in the forums, but they arent working.. the REAL frustrating thing is that i did this in 10.4.1 with NO problems!! grrrr Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5634-cant-get-appleac97audiokext-to-load/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
khai Posted December 12, 2005 Share Posted December 12, 2005 Try running kextload -t /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext and tell me what the output is.
