Well, you are only missing a somewhat cheesy waving flag w/fireworks superimposed. I am using safari windows beta and it does not work either, but the .mpg (mpeg codec) does display in explorer and opera, but not firefox. Somewhat of a bad decision on the part of the web designer to put an mpeg out there like that, as there is no way of knowing how a browser will handle that.

But what's interesting is that Safari just shows a ?box when, at least in my setup, quicktime is installed as a plugin and a mime type is associated, so it should play but it does not. Perhaps its a safari bug, sure wish I could find THAT forum!

probably, because 98% of computer users use PCs or explorer to browse, they figured to use that mpeg codec...

wait are u all saying that the vast majority of webdevs use mpeg for web videos? i must be crazy, but i would have used .swf for that one. it would have been easy to convert .mpg>>adobeafterefects>>.swf. I think more browsers would be able to see that, but what do I know.:)
