AWhiteFlame
Hi all. I recently purchased a used MBP CD on eBay and all is well, except I've found that the display hinge is a little more loose than I'd like. If the display is about 60 degrees or less to the keyboard, the display will just fall. Is there a way to tighten up these things, or do they just wear out? Thanks in advance. erbic
That definitely shouldn't happen... mine doesn't. You might be able to open the case and tighten it from the inside, but I'd be careful. It could just be that it's wearing out. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/56065-mbp-display-hinge/#findComment-400854 Share on other sites

Atomsk
I had a friend with that problem on an old powerbook but instead of trying to fix it he just bought a macbook pro I bet you could somehow tighten it from the inside though.
